As they are really busy behind the scenes, running the 90watts label and working on a new, long awaited release AND a remix on the release by Jens de Langer, "Arcturian Armitrage", the Amsterdam based dj and producers duo Van Meeteren & Hyde will give a sign of life this Saturday with their new mix for The Sound of Amsterdam.

Bio Jens de Langer:
ens de Langer is mainly a true dedicated music lover. He wrote his own songs when he was 8 years old and played drums and percussion for 7 years before he started dj-ing.
After some experimental projects, Jens started producing in 2002. With software like Reason he made “The Sidewalk” and did a limited pressing of 300 copies himself. This track got listed in an Essential Mix in 2004. In the couple of years after that, Jens developed himself, with better software and equipment and produced several tracks, like “Colour Me Blue”, “See” and a remix of “Don’t Phunk With My Heart”, by the Black Eyed Peas.
As a DJ and as a producer Jens de Langer has passed various (sub) styles of electronic music, from progressive- to electro house, but also inspired by music from the eighties, italo disco, dub, jazz and indie rock. Jens: “music catches me when it’s not definable as one style or genre. I love sounds that fade borders and I think that really good music just starts where genres end.”
Now, Jens de Langer has found his musical Self in a more authentic blend of driving tech-house with flavours of deep, black funk. Not really coincidentally while he started working at 90watts. In the early months of 2009 he found this new home base in Amsterdam, which is one of the fastest rising tech-house labels in the Netherlands. On 90watts he released “Life Is Synchronicity”, inspired on spiritual principles of life.

Unders has quite some history, bringing artists such as Booka Shade and Trentemøller to a variety of events he organized in the Netherlands. Besides that his dj career is successful with residencies at Studio 80, Electronation, Karotte's Kitchen and more.
Sven Prinsen is known as one half of Sven & Tettero, being a successful dj duo with gigs all over the Netherlands. Besides DJing and being a record freak, Sven is a passionated producer. With this release he shows his production skills for the first time in collaboration with Unders. more tracks to come but be sure to feel this one.

Dancing With The Minotaur EP – Out now on 90watts
Inspired by the old days of ancient Greece, where Minotaurs and Gods pursued the nightlife, Unders & Sven Prinsen bring their most cinematographic and bombastic sounds into a couple of very danceable tracks, which is really surprising. Unders: “Think Mythology, think hollywood in a new age suit.”
Nuno Dos Santos, well known for his productions on Compost and his “360” clubbing events, made a masterpiece of a remix.

Besides the hard business of running the public relations and promotion of 90watts, Jens works on new tracks which will see daylight this summer.
We're proud to present some special guests in The Sound of Amsterdam. We've been announcing a lot of info the last weeks about these guys in Romania and next Tuesday their Connected EP will be released on Beatport. This Saturday on the radio: Optick & Ciprian Lemnaru.
Optick and Ciprian Lemnaru started an experiment in 2007, as a result the track called "Burning me" exploded in all the dace charts all across Romania. In 2008 they produced a remix for the romanian band Morandi for their "Angels" track. The remix is still being played even today. The beginning of 2009, was done with a warm-up studio work resulting a remix for the russian artist Vitas with his Princess of Lammermoor.
